Community Tasting Notes 1

December 9, 2013 - Wow, what a difference from the 2011. This one has depth and structure with loads of fruit and acid. Not your typical Bonarda, or Merlot. The color, of course, is very dark. The nose is complex dark fruit and some acid. The palate is medium plus bodied, with almost as much non fruit as fruit flavors. The red raspberry and blackberry fruit is young, needing some air but quality and competent. Youngish, not quite mature acid. Quite a bargain at $4.
