September 3, 2022 - Tawny and fully mature with flavours of plums, prunes, liquorice and nuts laced with spice and a touch of warmth. Soft and lingering. 92 pts

May 13, 2022 - UWS; A mixed set of wines (@ JB): Complex bouquet with raisins and nuts. On the palate ripe dark berries, raisins and a beautiful balance between acidity and sweetness. Complex and elegant beauty.

May 27, 2018 - Candy and fruit nose. On the palate is traditional port with taste of toffee. Excellent. May go a few more years but I wouldn't wait.

April 2, 2017 - Toffee and red apple nose. Toffee apples?? Burnt apple purée and dark muscovado caramel. Really rich and round. Medium length finish with a lovely spicey warmth. Excellent and don't wait longer.

[Drunk with cheese in Tokyo. Not decanted for convenience but allowed to relax in glass.]
