December 11, 2020 - 16 years on and still full of bright, pure fruit. Certainly now has some secondary notes, but as fresh as ever on the palate. Supple tannic structure makes it pleasurable to drink right now.

October 27, 2020 - 30 minute decant had with pot roast. Well balanced with black fruit with fine tannins, last bottle but wish I had more.

October 29, 2019 - Not particularly friendly wine. A bit hefty. A bit rustic. Old school Syrah. Monolithic? I guess it's true to Hermitage but doesn't convey much of the majesty of it. Quite hard, very dry. Black fruit, but more minerals. Tolerable. Drinkable. Better with food. Maybe in an awkward phase as this was impressive some years ago, and it's not in decline or anything. 87+ at the moment
