July 17, 2021 - Agree with the other reviews. Good showing of oak and a lush palate, pop and pour is best as it does fade fast and the alcohol takes over in 3-4 hours.

June 12, 2018 - Great outta the gate, especially the nose. Dark plum liqueur and cocoa powder. Mid-palette was a little absent, but still lovely medium to full body. This sort of blend, mostly merlot/franc with LOTS (100%) of new oak is typically up my alley. Sadly, this fell apart in it's 3rd hour, when all that remained was that woody, over-ripe fruit flavor. So...drink this one quickly? Not sure what to tell you.

January 6, 2018 - Excellent nose - great expression; Solid attack; Big early-mid peak with a long finish

October 12, 2015 - I love the earth and wood on this vintage. It has aged tremendously!

June 26, 2015 - Holy moly that's a lot of wood and wood tannins. Even the tannin lover in me was a little taken aback by the monotone of this wine. The fruit is good, and a nice lifted character beneath all the lumber, but that's really all I can focus on because it's smacking me across the head.
