Community Tasting Notes 10

May 9, 2018 - I enjoyed the medium weighted red fruit with a lovely white pepper character, but it was a little bitter on the back. It really seems to need more time in the cellar than anything else, as I think more age will take it from enjoyable to terrific.

February 8, 2018 - nose aggressively expressive of strawberry, currants, and lava rock. medium bodied and fresh and energetic. ripe juicy strawberries, fresh cut herbs, and mineral palate with a long finish. teeming with energy and delicious.

January 20, 2018 - Really expressive nose of red fruits, ashtray, stones and spices. The palate was bright, very well balanced and integrated with sweet bright red fruit on the front of the palate slowly tailing off on a clean finish.

December 27, 2017 - Not as good as the last bottle. Full av volcanic fruit and acidity, but lacks the elegance and subtleness of the last bottle. Not sure if it is development or bottle variation However still a good bang for the buck.

October 28, 2017 - This is fantastic - a perfectly balanced volcanic wine- good tannins, fruit, and a dirty, feral edge. It's hard to imagine a better balance between the components than exists now.
