Community Tasting Notes 1

December 28, 2013 - Very pale color - possibly the palest Gewurtztraminer I've had. Tons of lychee on the nose - more lychee than rose. Palate has medium plus acid and more orchard fruit, almost Chardonnay-like beneath the lychee aromatics. Manages to avoid tasting like perfume, very low residual sugar (<0.5%). Just a little awkward on the back-end, but ends with lovely ripe pear and lychee. Not super-complex, but a very refreshing, dry, pretty wine. Excellent. 13.5%. $20.
