Community Tasting Notes 2

January 15, 2015 - Decent enough for the value. Slightly woody/smoky notes.

November 17, 2014 - WSET Level 3 Session 4-6; 11/17/2014-11/21/2014 (London, UK): The wine is clear medium ruby with very little in terms of tears on the glass.
The nose is clean. It is medium intense with aromas of red and black fruit (particularly black currant), some burnt toast, and a bit of squeezed orange peel. Some vanilla too. The oak used is clear.
    It is developing.
The wine is dry with medium plus acidity and with medium plus tannins. The alcohol is medium plus and it is medium bodied with medium flavour intensity. It tastes of black fruit with some smoke and charcoal. It feels a bit weak on the mid palate and the length is medium minus.
The quality is good and it can be drunk now, but has potential for further ageing.
