December 29, 2009 - still mid-red with orange rim fully resolves tannins, slides down so silky, intense midpallet counters weightlessness feel for a very fine experience - not exotic however.

January 2, 2005 - Solid wine. Decanted it just before serving. Nose has that cherry/leaf mold aromas, quite sweet. Still quite dark. Is showing good integration and complexity, acids in good harmony with the fruit. No noticeable oak. Silky texture is showing, but you do notice the heat of the vintage. Has some dry tannis still on the finish. Just wonderful with rare prime rib.

May 22, 2004 - Birthday wine. Slight orange on rim otherwise dark red core. Sparkles. Geargeous cherry fruit and high toned violets on nose, smooth silky sweet fruity mouth feel. Good concentration. 3-4 hours after opening so still solid.Tannis are sweet and frame the wine well.
Still 5+ years. -
