Community Tasting Notes 4

July 7, 2015 - Dark plum in colour; wood shavings, cedar and cherry on the nose; sour cherry, green pepper and goose berry. Relatively short, tannic finish.

March 24, 2013 - when the bottle is open for 1-2 hours the classic Pauillac aroma comes out and can be quite enjoyable, in spite of the notorious vintage...
on the palate "it doesn't take-off" and lacks the classic Pauillac components in descent quality.
Nevertheless, one could find this wine enjoyable in the minimal aspect of the word.

December 2, 2006 - powerful nose of cherries and cassis, but this is very closed as is. At first, the taste was rather flat and the fruit seemed almost stewed, although it was full-bodied with a good finish. Evolved somewhat after decanting, yielding more cassis and an anise/leather/licorice aftertaste. Elegant but not yielding much. My guess is this needs a few years´ bottle aging, there are still some tanins that need to soften up. As an aside, one glass went into making the best red wine sauce I ever made!

More substantial on the 2nd day with fuller taste, although the fruit felt slightly ´cooked´. Not at all a bad wine for the price.
