September 6, 2021 - No show stopper but rather a pleasant mature red. Old red berries, old settled tannins, licorice, supporting oak. It’s easy to like. Drinks a little older than it’s 11yrs suggests.

July 31, 2020 - I had a bottle of this back in '14 when it was really young. I liked it, but didn't give it a score as I know it was young and was recommended to age for a few more years. I picked up a couple more. Gave one away, so this is my last. It definitely didn't live up to the 94 point WE score. But it is still pretty good and the flavors are pretty consistent from six years ago. Blackberry, leather, the oak has integrated and isn't overt. Smooth tannins and some acids on the finish. If I paid $40 expecting that 94 score I'd be disappointed. But, like I said years ago, at $11 no complaints.

July 26, 2020 - Still going strong. This bottle was a wonderful qpr. Some dark fruit forward with flinty minerality on finish. Worked very well with paella..

November 30, 2019 - D+0h: quite some deposit in the filter and the bottle, smells of raspberry and cherry D+2h: dark as ink, on the rim slightly purple red, smells of smoke, leather and blackberry, light to medium body, has a certain residual sugar, so is not completely dry, smooth in the mouth with acidity, blackberry and leather, in the aftertaste blackberry and acidity, medium length (20-30 sec), a really good Douro red for the price, has improved since I tried it in 2015.

June 13, 2019 - Wow talk about qpr... Great bottle with muted fruit and flinty and mineral finish. A pleasant surprise for an older lower priced Douro.
