November 25, 2023 - In a spectacular place right now. Could even use a little decant.

June 23, 2022 - Last of 12, opened 30 minutes, perfect cork and level, light gold and beginning to show age, fruit flavours in retreat but, as noted by others, fine tertiary flavours and excellent line and length, just lacking the roundness of better vintages and persistence, downside from here, drink but unlikely to drop off cliff. F (17.5).......an ok rather than fine vintage for white Burg and a particularly fine effort in context of vintage which was a better drink a few years ago.

June 21, 2022 - Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Bottle directly from Martray. Fully mature apple and spiced apple with some caramel notes. Still bright enough.

June 9, 2022 - Drinking beautifully. Tertiary delite yet still some ripe stonefruit. Gorgeous body and feel, rich but not heavy. 130E at Schloss Korb.

May 15, 2021 - The 2 Decades Before the Millenium (Vino Sustinemus Clubhouse): Light intensity nose that leaned more to pear and grapefruit than to baked apple; there was a touch of new oak evident. The palate showed great acidity and was remarkably fresh with apple, grapefruit and lemon notes. Certainly no premox and seemed younger than it’s age. All in all well balanced and long finishing for a great bottle of wine.

Burgundy-Report

(Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne) Light yellow. The nose doesn't burst from the glass quite like the 1997 currently does. With time and swirling you can coax out a little sugar coated pineapple. The mildly oaky palate has good acidity, understated concentration and a finish that builds and builds - I expect the opposite with Corton-Charlemagne! Seemed fatter with the langoustine and not bad with the goat's cheese. Overall a bit disappointing
