June 10, 2019 - Significantly past due - rating is scaled back to what it could be 2-3 years ago

    Single piece cork. No seepage.

Found the wine very unbalanced and oaky. Just purchased 2014 so will compare. Not overly excited by this wine though i love all dry sherries. Just found the oak too dominant and distracting to enjoy the wine.

Drink or hold this is not evolving significantly as yet.

July 7, 2015 - Medium gold colour. The nose is in a developing stage, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of yellow apple, dry peaches, vanilla, acacia, cedar and reduced sulphur compounds.

It is dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium(+) body and a medium well-integrated alcohol. The flavours are pronounced, with a lingering finish.

Very good wine, it has an interesting oxidative/reductive mixed character in the mouth, and definitely the acidity plays a wonderful role in the overall balance providing the wine with freshness. However it needs to be more complex to be considered outstanding.

June 5, 2015 - Not sure if this was flawed. More yellow than I remember the first bottle being and a little oxidative on the palate as well, but certainly not the full sherry. OK on this occasion but not as wowed as the first time.

March 20, 2015 - Quite buttery, and I can see the comparison to a Burgundy, but there is something a bit different. Some floral / herbal notes like a white Rioja or white Rhone but very restrained and with obvious minerality. Unusual but tasty.
