October 7, 2023 - I originally rated this 92 about six years ago, but found age has treated it well. This is a big Napa Cabernet with extracted blue and red fruits and bright acidity. A couple of hours of air brought out the best. This proves that some 2011‘s have stood the test of time.

July 1, 2023 - This bottle was absolutely terrific. Beautiful nose and the palate had plenty of fruit, integrated tannins, and was incredibly balanced. Had a long and lingering finish that kept me wanting to try more. Competed with a Carter Grand Daddy and a Realm Beckstoffer. Another fabulous bottle of Hall that I really enjoyed. Wish I had more but onto the next vintage.

February 18, 2023 - A great example of a 2011 vintage with a bit of age. Good, but lacks the depth and complexity of Jacks from the two prior and two subsequent vintages. Shorter finish and less development of the secondary flavors than seems to happen in warmer vintages.

There's an immediate palate sweetness due to glycerin. Then the deep black and blue fruit hits. Modest earth and spice notes. Decent structure: now-2026. (1434 views)
