April 27, 2023 - This bottle of wine was remarkable for its longevity given its somewhat modest background. It was hard to know it was a 1990. It might have passed for a rather mature 2009. The brown edge is visible but not pronounced, the tannins have receded but are still present, sufficiently to balance the wine. The wine offers a most pleasant glass of mature claret - but could come from anywhere. Its a fine Cab/ Merlot mature wine without, to my taste any sense of terroir and it lacked an extra character.
On the evidence of this bottle it should be drinkable for another 10 years

December 26, 2020 - I picked this up as part of a mixed auction lot that included some other wines that I really wanted, so it would be a bonus if it was just drinkable. It far exceeded my very modest expectations, with surprisingly vibrant color and classic red currant with well-integrated savory bell pepper and leather tied together with fine tannin. Fine on its own, but it took off with prime rib, I’m impressed and very pleased.

October 27, 2018 - Last of the dozen. Cork 90% wet. A good bottle. Has stood-up well for a moderately-priced Canon Fronsac. Autumn leaves, sap, a little tar, slight anise, baking spices, medium weight, 13.5% alc. Pleasantly m/l finish with velvet texture.

September 28, 2018 - Paired with dinner at Marina Restaurant. A good bottle showing dark fruit and integrated tannins.

May 3, 2018 - Cork was only 2/3 wet. Wine was clean, no TCA. Still had a little tannic bite. Paired well with beef steak.
