March 7, 2020 - Improves on day 3 to a 90/91. Has aromas of earthy blackberries, iron, raspberries coffee hints. Its polite linear medium bodied palate has good fruit and oak layers, good freshness and ends longish with nice unagressive tannin. Aerate 90 mins. Keep and drink in the next 3 years. 12.5%.

January 24, 2016 - This was a cool wine! Needed 3 hr decant to sing. Earthy aromas of roasted coffee, blackberries, plums, minerals and flowers. Its medium to full bodied plushly fruited plalate has a lovely caressing texture, nice oak in the delineated and crunchy middle. Ends longish with some style.

November 21, 2012 - A pleasant surprise. Much more depth and complexity than I was expecting in a wine at this price ($17). Medium to medium heavy in body, but with a brighter palate than many I've tried from St Emilion. Berries, a hint of green, and a nice resin note. Good acidity for balance. Some light tannins on the finish. None of the funk/game that are present in say the Monbousquet. This is a very nice bottle, and one in retrospect that I wish I hadn't opened simply on a lark. 90+ points.
