April 13, 2020 - Purchased this '12 while we were in Provence in 2014 so it's been stored properly. Just the slightest of bricking on the edges. The nose gives plenty of ripe black cherry and just the slightest hint of menthol. More black cherry on the palate layered with cigar box, bitter chocolate all wrapped up with a good bit of acid and fine grained tannin. Quite the pleasure to drink.

March 22, 2020 - Deep red, blue tinge. Smells of ripe blue fruits. On the palate, black and blue - ripe blueberries, black cherries. Heat, acid and tannin all noticeable but nicely placed. Fruit stays til the end with well-judged drying tannins.
