November 12, 2023 - Sunday evening in diessenhofen, pairing it with lamb chops. Deep purple color. Beautiful ripe red fruit, wet forest floor, mushroom, vanilla, black pepper, smokiness. Complex nose. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, subtle tannins and med finish. Savoury red fruit, leather, forest floor, black pepper, salinity, very well balanced. The only criticism is that this does not linger long enough. Otherwise excellent.

April 2, 2021 - Complex nose with forest fruit, blood, iron and leather. Noticeable oak, but relatively well integrated. Powerful with high concentration. Spicy finish with acidity and tannins. Still youthful.

April 14, 2020 - This wine is deep purple in color. The nose is clean with a pronounced intensity of aroma. Aroma characteristics include: stewed blackberries, black pepper, black plum, black cherries, jamminess, tomato, smoked meat, eucalyptus, cloves, nutmeg, coconut, and wet leaves. This wine is developing. This wine is dry with medium(+) acidity, high tannin, medium alcohol, medium(+) body, and a pronounced flavor intensity. Flavor characteristics include: blackberries, black pepper, cooked plum, black cherries, tomato, smoked meat, dried herbs, coconut, and clove. The finish is long. This wine is of outstanding quality. The wine should be drunk now, not suitable for further aging.

February 20, 2020 - Cornas is underestimated..all seriously made wines there are great § Colombo is one of the top, there.
The wine is expensive but I do not regret the purchase
The wine is inky, mouthful, with a long finish
I believe at his peak in terms of drinking window but has still the strenght to pursue its live in cellar for 10more years

October 4, 2018 - Very round, not very complex though. Ready to drink.
