May 28, 2020 - Another wine from our "drink up" list. Definitely not getting any better and is heading downhill in our opinion. Has no off flavors, is smooth drinking, but has little pizzazz. Our smoked brisket really helped bring out the better fruit and spice aspects of this wine. Drink up.

May 3, 2020 - This wine is drinking like a $20 Cab. It has very jammy fruit, which unfortunately dominants the palate, a little smokiness and a dash of black pepper. Has no real backbone to speak of. By itself it was so-so, but better with our smoked brats and Anita's homemade sauerkraut.

October 18, 2017 - Exceeded my expectations. Polished, with well balanced fruit and a smooth finish. Excellent QPR at $20. Would buy this wine again.

July 10, 2017 - Nose: Black fruit aromas with some funk undertones. Palate: Black fruits with still a similar stewed quality of the last bottle, but this one is markedly better showing better fruit and tannin levels (last bottle had zero tannin). Nonetheless this is 88 points at best and not the best QPR at $20/bottle even when representative (unlike the previous bottle).

Have to think this is not representative hence no score, but will seek refund from retailer as even Black Box would beat this handily. Based on this bottle stay away from this wine.
