August 29, 2023 - Followed in the wake of the most beautiful 2016 Dalamara VV ( Papies 95) which was not an easy one for this otherwise beautiful wine. We believe this has 10% Barbera in the blend. Rich, modern but well modern. We managed and assimilated oak, soft tar edge, spice, touch floral, sweet fruit. Modern for sure but at this stage has a beauty to it and for sure with a lot of life ahead. 92-93

March 2, 2023 - Decanted for one hour but should have stood up sooner because the wine had a lot of fine sediment. Dark garnet color. Powerful nose of red and black cherries, cedar cigar box, rose petals and a ton of cinnamon. Similar flavors on the palate with sour cherries, raspberry, sweet baking spices, cinnamon and some cedar / old wood coming through but still very primary for a 12 year old bottle of wine. Grippy tannins on the mouthfeel. Medium+ acidity. Definitely enjoyable now but plenty of structure and room for development so I would probably revisit in another 2 - 3 years if I still had any. Very nice bottle of nebbiolo.

    June 22, 2022 - Appearance: medium garnet.
Nose: medium intensity; aromas of nutmeg, red plum, dark cherry, blueberry, red date, sandalwood, orange peel, hazelnut, roasted meat, incense, medicinal, earthy. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, high tannins but smooth and velvety, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity, red plum and spices, long finish.
Very good wine. Perfumed, complex and impeccable balance. Constantly evolving with every swirl. Can certainly cellar!

June 21, 2021 - Well made old school Barolo. Although approachable with 5 hours decant, it needs serioius cellar time, and will be a star 5+ years from now. 92+

November 28, 2020 - I think I would have preferred this with another 5 years on it. Perhaps a touch sour, but plenty complex already.
