November 13, 2022 - On opening closed and charmless, give this wine a good two hour's decant to express itself. Garnet, with definite alcoholic legs ( 14.5% ), the nose opens out to show sweet cherries, strawberries, hints of rose Turkish Delight, balsamic and leather, mint, vanilla, tobacco, and charcoal. Acidity is still high, with flavours of cooked plums, cranberries ,and tobacco, with a finish of dry tannin, and tobacco. Time and air will reveal this wine's quality. Mature , but with at least 5 years ahead .
