  August 6, 2022 - A small gathering at Bryan's (Bryan's place): Opened for over a year. Explosive nose displaying intense black fruit, dried blackberry, dried fig, dried orange peel, roasted almond, honey, dark caramel, brown sugar, balsamico, molasses, tar dark spices, and limestone. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of intense dry black fruit, rich and opulent but also beautifully focused, mouth puckering acidity, strong mineral, and a long concentrated black fruit driven finish with brown sugar at the end. Although the fruit seems intense and sweet, the finish is very dry.

  October 15, 2021 - Beautiful dark brown color speaks clearly of the age. Aroma is heavy on sugar, molasses, and caramel. Bitter dried apricot and brown sugar on the tongue.

  May 23, 2016 - Dried orange peel, bitter orange, dark caramel, soil notes, bitters, burnt toast, leather, brown butter. Pecan and walnut skins on the long finish. Brilliant and tangy acids that have defied time up to this point. Bottle consumed over 1.5 weeks.
