December 6, 2020 - Excellent Bordeaux blended red wine from the high elevation Rockpile AVA. 2011 was a difficult year but this bottle has aged well. After decanting for 1/2 hour before serving, the bouquet and first taste offered a robust plum and black currant fruit profile, even acidity throughout, soft tannans and a lingering finish with a hint of cocoa at the end. Each subsequent sip was even more satisfying. This wine could stay in the bottle a few more years but it is very drinkable now.

January 29, 2020 - Well balanced rich red fruit profile with a hint of cocoa on the finish. Excellent Bordeaux blend considering the difficulty with 2011 reds. Paired nicely with New York strip steak.
