  March 28, 2010 - Before consuming - I strained the wine through a cheese cloth to filter out the sediiment. The wine was a beautiful garnet color indicating to me that it was still most likely drinking at its prime. On the nose was the smell of prunes and green pepper. The tannins had fully integrated into the wine as evidenced by the smooth feel on the tongue. The one drawback was the fact that although this wine is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon - it possessed rather light weight on the palate which made it seem a bit thin -especially with the fatty salami and Italian cheese assortment with which it was paired. Still - this wine was still very good and easily the favorite of all the wines tasted by the group.
