June 28, 2014 - 4th Saturday Brown Bagger (Sue & Mike's): Deep color- looks older like the first wine. Aromas of white fruit and florals, with a wet stone quality as well. Here again, apple juice on the palate, though there's a spicy flavor that lingers through the finish; plenty of acid too. Guessed Italian variety.

April 11, 2014 - The nose is very pretty - lightly floral, with a suggestion of some exotic tropical fruit. Unfortunately, the promise is not fully delivered - this is a very simple, basic wine, nothing more. Very pleasant to drink as an aperitif, it would be excellent at a stand-up cocktail party, or at an outdoor spring lunch, but there is no mystery, no discovery, though I thought it lost some of its exuberance as it warmed. For $15/ bottle, an excellent value, and eminently quaff-able.
