April 10, 2020 - Not a lot of distinctive cab franc left in here, assuming there was more when it was younger. Nevertheless, it remains a very pleasant wine with enough backbone for food. Paired decently with brown butter sage gnocchi.

January 28, 2020 - A very nice wine, but it is time to drink up.

March 2, 2017 - Much better than previous bottles. This one is finally ready now. The oak has settled down. Fruit forward and silky. Definitely "new world", nothing at all like a Chinon, but it will please fans of California-style wines.

October 30, 2016 - Had a beautiful aroma of cherry and red berries, floral notes and with a whiff of tobacco. Medium-bodied, nice mouthfeel, with very generous red berry flavor, baking spices and a bit of herbiness (sage-like, dusty) but with a great balance between fruit and acidity that prevents it from being too “big.” Smooth finish.

August 20, 2016 - We tried this most recently in June of 2016, and it wasn't ready, rather it was overbearingly oaky. This bottle was much tamer, with the oak integrated. It was good, but a generic red without much minerality, and with no terroir. It showed some mixed black fruits, a little bit of lightly toasted oak, and not much else. $29 from Last Bottle; there are much better wines available at that price.

Drink now if you have it, there is no further aging potential.
