March 18, 2023 - Needed a couple hours to open up and for the earthy and dark notes to ease up. Had with herb marinated lamb chops, which allowed the light/bright red fruit to come through. Without food, was a bit heavier, more blue fruit, leather and earth.

September 22, 2020 - Similar notes to 2/6/2019. PnP found this too closed, so decanted and enjoyed over next 1.5 hours. Lots of blueberry on the nose, but was struck by the somewhat tannic structure and minerality. Although the brightness and sweetness of the fruit said Cali, the texture, acidity and minerality said N. Rhone. If I had more I'd hold this for at least 2-3 more years!

June 8, 2020 - Still too hot and not well balanced. Not tannin.

May 27, 2020 - Inky color hints at the dark fruit and flavors on the palate. Tannins fully integrated at this point. Round and lasting finish. Very good. Wouldn't expect much improvement from here.
