September 29, 2017 - "As Caborcas" 2010 by Telmo Rodriguez
    .
A single vineyard field blend of old vine Mencia, Merenzao, Souson, Garnacha, Godello, Brencellao planted above the river Bibei in granite terraces just like the Northern Rhone, but instead bush vine trained.
    .
Incredibly similar to a crunchy and savory #Cornas but all #Mencia with mellow red and savory fruits, cracked peppercorn, smoke, a touch of tar and flower petals with a beam of granite mineral spine. Simply awesome! This was one of my favorite finds on a trip to Spain in 2015 where I met Telmo and spent the afternoon with him in the vienyards and tasting at #Remelluri. The dude is larger than life, an inspiration! FYI he is a Burgundy fanatic!

December 12, 2014 - An amazing wine, so sad I only bought 2 bottles. Complex, changing, evolving. Blind I'd say Burg GC. Grape varieties are almost irrelevant in a purely terroir-driven wine.

May 26, 2014 - Color rojo intenso bien brillante, ribete rojizo-violáceo bien vivo, capa baja y gruesa lágrima bien lenta sin estar tintada.
