  December 2, 2015 - Still quite stiff, spicy, and grippy tannins, but the dark fruit, leather, and balance are undeniable. It still needs time to open up, but for the price this is a great value. I would let other bottles open up for several hours, as I only let this one go for about an hour.

  March 16, 2015 - Black currant and blueberries set the first impression, somewhat unripe. Black pepper and cocoa follow through. On mouth same profile, nicely framed, good grip, with a detectable instability on palate. Lovely savory, spiced finish. We can feel the effort here to deliver some complexity. However, that palate instability frustrates the final impression of what could have been a 90+. 88
