Community Tasting Notes 4

February 13, 2024 - Lovely wine: Balanced, not too overwhelming black fruit notes, forest floor, slight lavender notes. Tannins have well smoothened, which makes this very drinkable.

June 21, 2010 - Open two hours in the bottle. Purchased this wine a few years ago towards the beginning of my collection.
Shows nice spicy red fruit. Contrary to what Parker writes, this is pretty light on its feat. Has some nice ripe cherries, light vanilla and all spice. Some soft floral accents with a bit of heat on the finish - though it works well.
Nose shows a bit of creaminess though it doesn't come across on the palate. Some nice spice with more red fruit and a touch of potpourri. Finish is medium bodied with moderate alcohol, soft barely noticeable tannins and moderate acidity. The bottling shows more New World styling than Old. I would have guessed this as a California PINOT...I know, PINOT if I were to taste it blind.
    Good effort. Very nice.

April 2, 2004 - Mouiex: Darker fruits de bois, light choc. hints; full bod, earthy, slight sour fin.
