Community Tasting Notes 4

May 24, 2020 - Delicious pinot noir from the ahr. Dark ruby color. In the nose the typical fruity and herbal notes of pinot from slate. You feel the ripeness which is confirmed by the palate, some bitterness and good balance. Minty and etherical. Will hold for some years. But I don‘t see much potential tbh.

February 9, 2020 - Briljant Ahr spatburgunder! Smokey nose with red fruit! Nice length.

December 8, 2017 - Restaurant decant for about an hour, purple red colour, smells of elderberry and smoke, in the mouth elderberry and smoke, quite a full body, in the aftertaste cherry and acidity, nice wine which paired well with goose; as our group was very lively, I didn’t have time to write a proper note.

January 5, 2015 - A great example of an Ahr PN. Herbal notes, sousbois, Red berries and cherry. The barrique not prevailing at all. Very fresh and fruity at the moment, but should be good for five to ten years. Medium body, but long, weighty finish. A treat.
