  July 26, 2019 - Drinking really well after an hour in the decanter. Oak stuck out a little before the hour breathing, however the fruit then rose up and it was all nicely balanced. Eden valley first, Cabernet second.
  
  No rush, should continue to improve for 5+ years, however tannins are nicely integrated now.

  December 29, 2015 - Very good expression of Eden Valley Cabernet. From a vineyard at about 450m elevation above sea level. 50% new French oak.
  A little too much wood-varnish type character at first, hinting at the oak use. Underneath, there's a lot of stewed beetroot, mulberries and cassis type fruit aromas, with layers of thick syrupy blackcurrant...
  The palate is really well balanced. It's very polished and the oak here is well integrated, while the fruit underneath is very silky. Nice integrated tannin structure too.
  Honestly wasn't really sure why I was hanging on to this, with 2011 widely touted to be a shit year for SA reds... but this is singing and I think it will probably integrate further with another 5-7 years.
