December 7, 2023 - Rediculous! Absolutely out of this world! Had this vintage 3 times now, and it only gets better.
Beautiful white jasmine flowers, orange blossom, quince, cinnamon, cardamom, apricot, Madagascar vanilla, caramel, macadamia nuts, William pear and an incredible nerve and tension along with a perfect, focused acidity!

December 3, 2023 - Eye: Medium gold in the center to a pale wet goldenrod rim.
Nose: Very delicate. Some petrochemicals, a touch of honey, prunes, and baking spice.
Palate: Honey, prunes, baking spice. Some apple and vegetality. There is a nice spine of acidity. Just a touch of orange blossoms and chocolate-coconut.
Finish: Long finish. There is an ongoing trail of acidity paired with some red apples and honey.
Overall: This was enjoyed as a by-the-glass pour at a local upscale French restaurant. The wine was good, but it felt somewhat flabby. I suspect the bottle had been open for quite some time. I place it about on par with the 2001 Lauferie-Peyraguey. I suppose it’s significant that a wine only 10 years old is competing at the same level as one over twice it’s age.1 person found this helpful Comment -
