June 11, 2023 - Dark clear bright garnet color. Intense cassis, fresh blackberries, and sweet pipe tobacco on the nose. Tasting notes are largely congruent with the addition of fairly strong wood that reveals itself in the finish. Quite nice, and just beginning to enter its drinking window with another decade or so to go, easy.

February 25, 2023 - Did not need to decant. It was ready to drink within a couple minutes of opening the bottle.
As we have consistently seen with the 2011's from Napa, once they hit 10 years old, they are tasting wonderful.
It is absolutely ready to drink right now, and do not see any benefit to further aging. -
