November 11, 2022 - Golden yellow, medium intensity. Developed(+) nose, high intensity. Sweet, roses, litchie. A pinch of saffron. Gives an intense and thick feeling. In mouth a low dose of sweetness, medium(-) acidity, medium(+) body. 13,5%. Viscous and agile. The litchie and roses dominate the flavours, but in a kind of careful way, distant, still power. Very good length, with a slight burning end feel.
Follows over five days, impressed; almost unaffected of the stay in the fridge. -

May 2, 2021 - Encore vif. Et brillant. Équilibre exemplaire. Résiduel parfaitement maîtrisé. Gourmand à belle dominante coing... minéral et discrètement pétrolé. Un flacon tout en délicatesse et aux épaules solides.

September 29, 2019 - Not too much goldening over, nor many other signs of aging. Possibly some softening of acid? Lychee there on nose, but much, much less so on palate, which was more of a raisining petrol, with some bitter slatey mineral. The attack had an even auslese-like initial hint of viscous, coating sweetness, but mid through finish was more of a thinner unctuousness - though texturally this did fill out with air. Blind tasters recognized this as Alsace, but could not pin it down as a gewurtz. Interesting and ultimately satisfying wine, however, showing nicely with varied bites of food, and still very much alive.

November 6, 2015 - Friday Night at Davyd's (Pine Close): Tasted blind.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of lychees, honey, chrysanthemum, slight gingery spice. Developed.
On the palate, medium dry, medium acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of lychees, honey, chrysanthemum, mild gingery spice. Long finish.
I guessed an aged Alsatian Gewurztraminer. Classic Gewurz descriptors here.
Very good quality. Commendable intensity on nose and palate. Unfortunately the fruit seems to be going down. Drink up soon. Not for further ageing. -

February 20, 2015 - Roses, apricot, perfume, handsoap nose. Pressed flowers, dense, even oily palate with a weird almost chemical bitterness. To me, this define "unctuous" in a wine.
