December 24, 2019 - Lovely perfumed nose. Medium high acid. Some very light tannins remain. The palate needed an hour or two. With time showed some impressive character.

April 21, 2018 - Bottle was in solid shape. Decanted two hours before drinking. Nice aromas of fading cherry, tar, and beef broth. Firm acidity and very tannic, almost burly, on the palate. After a few hours, the fruit fades and the savory notes take over in full stride. Quite nice.

October 5, 2015 - Leo's Blind Tasting Group - Oct '15 edition (Ben's): Better than the last bottle I had - served blind, I was wondering if this might be an older Rioja. Really pretty aromatics, very floral and red fruited with other cedary and tarry accents that keep evolving with air. Still very fresh and lively on the palate with bright acids beneath, really enjoyable.
