March 23, 2024 - I had few expectations after reading the other notes on CT. Maybe you all drank it way too early.
It's quite lovely now. Dark cherry and berry fruit leading into leather, dark chocolate, and a pleasant touch of tar. Fine tannins, good acidity. Excellent QPR.

December 21, 2016 - PnP. Aromas of dark cherry, orange peel and some volatile alcohol. On the palate fruit is muted. The wine has hot alcohol, higher acid and moderate tannin leaving a hot, mouthwatering finish. Disappears fairly quickly on the palate. With dinner the wine mostly seemed acidic and hot with a bit of astringency in the finish. Simple and comes up short behind the aroma.

August 24, 2016 - Clean and easy body wine. It was tainted with the standard cork must.

October 7, 2015 - Wine was garnet colored. One of us thought the wine was fruity. The other one got mostly acid, tannin and alcohol heat. Not bad and not great for either of us.

April 22, 2015 - Opened and let air for 20 minutes. Wine is translucent garnet out close to the edge of the glass where there is a hint of orange. Nose of dark cherry and forest floor. Initial taste of cherry, a little wood, a touch of mushroom, some heat with moderate acidity and tannin at the end. After 30 minutes a bit more aroma coming out, but still seeming a little muted. Taste is good, but not bowling either of us over this evening. After 45 minutes some dried cherry aromas are starting to enter in with maybe a little more fruit in the taste. The wine lacks dirt. This seems shutdown a bit this evening. Drank with pasta and homemade meat sauce, salad with goat cheese and homemade lemon vinaigrette.
