May 27, 2018 - 40th Annual Zinfandel Retrospective - the 2013s (R&Ds): Strawberry and red berry fruit with a dirty/earthy undertone. The earthy quality follows through on the palate, along with berry and herb qualities. Decent acidity.

February 25, 2018 - Courtesy of R&R. Spice, florals and red berry aromas. Elegant. Plenty of fruit on the palate- berry and melon; bright through the finish. 89+ pts.

July 25, 2016 - Nice richer style of rose that was better colder and had lots of fruit but less acidity

May 14, 2016 - Dark color. This shows white currant, rose hip and red plum but there's a dirty/soily overtone that I find distracting. Flavors of cherry, clay and currants with good acidity.

(Kapcsándy Family Winery Rosé State Lane Vineyard) Orange pink color; cedar, smoke, tart currant nose; intense, tart currant, cedar, mineral palate with medium acidity; medium-plus finish (53% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot; reminiscent of an intense Bordeaux rosé)
