April 27, 2019 - Lovely mature Burgundy. Decanted for half and hour it immediately showed well with some developed sous bois aromas but still having a lively crunch of cranberry - it seemed in the twilight between early prime and going to full maturity. Balanced, fine, nicely mineral - just lacking more stuffing and mid palate sweet core fruit for me to score higher. Drink now - 2030.

December 20, 2017 - Gina's Birthday Dinner (Kai Garden, Marina Square): Very enjoyable. The nose was a nice mix of lifted wood spice and sweet blue fruit patted down with minerally earth and a nice savoury meatiness. The palate was nicely soft, with tannins having resolved into a silky robe draped across fresh, juicy flavours of sweet red cherries nicely seasoned with a bit of spice and earth, and just a hint of dried flowers at the finish. Not especially impressive - this lacked a bit of midpalate weight for a Grand Cru - but this was in nevertheless really enjoyable. A nice wine in the right place to drink now.

September 18, 2016 - Lamarche 2000 Echezeaux is pure, fresh, red fruits, roses, earthy but fresh, showing off nicely. The structure and texture are a clear sign of its appellation backed up for some great acidity.

December 25, 2015 - Bottled unfined and unfiltered, 13.9% ABV. Mature but lively appearence; mature nose, fresh white mushroom and sous-bois, hint of red earth, good depth; good intensity on the cool palate, medium weight, retains a firm tannic grip, fresh and vibrant style; cool finish, hints of tea and vanilla, good length. An interesting wine, but good rather than great. A middling Grand Cru, but accompanies the Christmas turkey rather well.

July 5, 2014 - Beautiful. The nose is intoxicating. Nice fruit and light tannin. Very refined tasting
