  Garnet red with orange, aged appearance, watery rim, medium opaque.
  Bramble, forest floor, aniseed and unfortunately Brett which grows stronger as the glass airs.
  Light fruit, cherry neither, sweet nor sour before mid palate oak spice, a confit aged expression.
  Too much Brett to finish the bottle.

  November 7, 2010 - Dinner with Friends (Mawby, Chidaine, Pinson, Desaunay-Bissey, Nerthe, Maybach, Sineann): Drinking probably at peak right now IMO. The crowd liked this better than I perhaps. Earthy complex nose that was lovely. Cherries, earthy, powdered cherry drink mix. On the palate, there is a lot of acidity. Worked nicely with the food which helped bring it back into balance. Not as complex on the palate, but still very good. Lots of tart cherries.

  April 15, 2006 - Simon: Very closed; then licorice, fennel, soft very silky structured wine; balanced, powerful, good long structured fin. w/cherry hinding in there. Very nice and surprising.
