October 24, 2018 - Ruby in color with aromas of tea, floral notes and a hint of vanilla. On tasting, I picked up cherries and mild raspberries. The body is medium/full with a silky texture and a medium long finish. Tannins are fine at this stage and it has, in my opinion, hit its "drink now zone”. The wine is balanced and paired great with a 28 day dry aged prime ribeye, seared in a very hot (500 deg) cast iron pan.

May 22, 2012 - Still very intense but not developing complexity.

February 26, 2010 - BLACKBERRIES, BLACK CHERRIES AND LICORICE IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

June 7, 2009 - Big ol booming in yo face , smack you like you owe it money type of Ripe dark berry nose. A touch of alcohol is mixed in with caramelized brown sugar to go with the berry nose. Typical pride body. You get a little bit of tannin/acid/ripe sweet cherries that remind you of it actually being a Sangiovese but it gets mixed in with oak tannins (is that even a term?). A bit of olive juice and vegetation lingering which I felt was a bit out of place, but everything else was on its way to getting integrated. If you like the style it's pretty centered on it and it's not shaby at all.
