April 1, 2018 - The cork had failed with leakage to take the wine down to a ~ bottom shoulder level.
Certainly showing oxidation on the nose, but it's not completely overpowering the wine.
Better on the palate, with cherry to the fore, but with some additional complexity. There is however quite a fearsome alcoholic burn which does unbalance the palate.
Marked as flawed IRO the cork failure. -

January 28, 2017 - Ripe fruit and white nuts, elegantly sweet, rich and spicy, deep and concentrated but with the typical freshness of the 1966 vintage, steely acidity, pure and powerful, deep and with a real sense of floral Grand Champagne Cognac, wonderful finesse and balance, sweet and rounded. An outstanding, mature vintage port, quite stunning actually. At peak.

July 24, 2016 - FTLOP 11th Anniversary; 7/22/2016-7/24/2016 (Sammamish, Washington): Medium-dark ruby in color with slight bricking on the edges. Extremely fine sediment. Semi-opaque. Slightly subdued nose with some dusty red fruit. The mid-palate has some hints of cloying cherry. Nice finish.
