January 10, 2015 - I purchased my first 5 without tasting on a good recommendation. I found a second source for the wine and decided to try one before buy more at a slightly higher price. I am glad I did. 2012 is shaping up to be an historic vintage. This wine was terrific and i think it is going to get better with aging. There is the unmistakable Oakville Napa cab flavor. The stunning bouquet and flavor makes me want to drink them now. But the tannins promise even more of both if we are patient and wait a few years. I will wait, because I bet it's going to a stunner! I bought everything I could find and look forward to 2019! Magic Door has the quality of a wine twice it's value. Hoard it if you find it.
