Community Tasting Notes 2

  • EMark Likes this wine:

October 28, 2019 - "Dark" nose with some viny sensation. On the tip of the tongue I was surprised by flavors of bright red fruit--normally, I detect black fruit in CS. Lots of mineral and stone mid-palate. Plenty of stiff tannin. An unfortunate unbalance of acid, which I am sure, is why I described the fruit as "bright." I probably should have let this one rest a few more years.

May 20, 2015 - Vintage Select Industry Tasting - Firehouse in the Heights: Deep garnet color. Nose of dark berries, espresso, sour cherry, tobacco, and vanilla. On the palate, blackberry, plum, cherry, espresso, spicy oak, cherry, tobacco, leather. Lots of grip on the finish. Good promise here.
