July 3, 2014 - Light red in color, but correct viscosity in alcohol "legs" in glass. Nose of minerals, crushed berries, mountain berries, trace of allspice. Taste is simple but clean and correct, bright acids, wet rock, fresh mountain fruit, almost huckleberry. Excellent reference example of Schiava. Bottle is labeled with Vernatsch, German equivalent for Schiava, even though winery calls it Schiava themselves.
