January 3, 2024 - Belle bouteille ouverte par Dwayne au réveillon.
    Souple et bien vivant.
    Figues, noix, dattes et fleurs.
    Hyper velouté et bien long.
    Rien n'accroche.
    EXCELLENT!

December 23, 2023 - Almost got the cork out in one piece. Amazing wine in a great place. Deep, rich, vibrant, complex.

April 8, 2023 - The cork crumbled as it was extracted and was quite saturated with wine. I suspect poor storage conditions. As this wine is known for, still very dark in color. This is still retaining a good amount of fruit but there is also a distracting medicinal note.

April 2, 2023 - Stored in a cold cellar since release. Cork collapsed so realise why 19th century used red hot tongs! Lovely bouquet. Surprisingly deep and young tasting. Medium bodied with great balance and persistence. Thought drinking up some port that must nearing end of life. Quite wrong. Years of life left. A revelation for a year that was rated only good to very good on release.

November 18, 2022 - FTLOP 17th Anniversary; 11/18/2022-11/20/2022 (Seattle, Washington): Dark, almost completely opaque. The nose has wonderful, complex notes of blackberry, black plum, and chocolate. On the palate, there is a fantastic structure, with black licorice, anise, and cocoa powder. The tannins are well-structured as well on the long, beautiful finish.
