February 11, 2024 - A real step up from the other 2 cabs we sampled during the Super Bowl. There is red currant, blackberry and cassis are met with minerality and sweet spice.

February 21, 2021 - Decanted for 30 minutes, drank over four hours. Nose of cassis, blackberry, graphite, tobacco leaf, a touch of brown sugar. Similar on the palate, but the pyrazine notes really come out. Good acid, resolving tannins, well integrated, but still very, very vibrant. The drinking window on this is...just opening, and it would be fantastic to revisit in a decade.

February 14, 2021 - WOW! This wine has so much to offer right now and into the future. Great color, great nose, great pleasure in the mouth and on the tongue. This was our first experience with this wine and it was stunning.

April 20, 2020 - (5/5) - Visually stunning deep ruby in color, still bright and youthful
(15/15) - You can smell this from across the room once it hits its stride. Loads of sweet dark fruits, violets, some oak spices, cinnamon, nutmeg.
(17/20) - The tannins right now are so silky and the fruit is on such great display, just enough minerality and acidity to not feel overweight. The only thing a bit off still is the alcohol, it comes in a touch hot.
(7/10) - The alcohol heat is the only thing keeping this back from 2 more points. Great Howell Mountain and love Cimarossa vineyard.
