September 8, 2015 - Not really working for me. Especially, the texture which seemed more Mourvedre like. Also not liking the candied fruit. Serviceable but drinking like its $13 price point, at best. A little hollow in the mid palate too. I had hoped for a smart under the radar gem since its Oregon PN with only 13.1% ALC but, not to be. Ok, tonight with Asian chicken burgers but I won't go back to this well.

January 24, 2015 - This tried and true producer of all kinds of varieties from Washington State reached down into neighboring Oregon for some Pinot Noir grapes, and we the general public are the beneficiary. Not exactly typical, the Washington influence and style leads to a slightly more structured, candied and chewy mulberry meets cherry and cranberry style not quite as typically elegant we expect from Oregon. Big on the mouth for a Pinot. Nicely balanced and integrated already.

October 1, 2014 - A lovely, light Pinot Noir with some real depth to it. It doesn't have a long finish but that doesn't detract from the enjoy ability of this wine. Considering the price, and the fact that one usually can't find a good Pinot under $20, this is quite the buy.

July 19, 2014 - I was curious about how this would taste, since it's a step outside the traditional expertise for Barnard Griffin. I wish they'd mentioned *where* in Oregon the grapes they used came from, but I'll bet money on it being Willamette. It was excellent, with a delicate scent of blackberries (and tasted of them, too). Pinot Noir is hard, but I think they've made their mark on this one.

Now I'm off to buy more of this.
