September 21, 2023 - Medium-light golden yellow in color. Full, forward and attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, tropical notes of pineapple & citric notes of lemons/limes, with overtones of floral notes of honeysuckle & mineral notes, slate & a slight hint of honey in the background. Medium bodied, with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of honeyed dried apricots, sweet yellow peaches, pineapple & green apples with minerals & slate notes. Long lingering & crisp finish. Drinking quite well at 22 years of age and seems to have the backbone to develop slightly further with a few more years of additional aging. Fill well into neck; cork was stained on bottom 1/4 but intact. [A.P. Nr. 3 561 303-13-02; Alc. 8.5%] A wonderful wine.

July 10, 2020 - Slightly musty and dumb from the bottle. With a decant, completely brilliant: deep, layered, round, perfect balance of sweet and sour. A wonderful bottle. So, in a great place; no particular indication of additional potential, but my experience with mature MSR is limited.

July 19, 2016 - Acidity to fore giving a threadbare feel. Decent enough, but I reckon best to drink sooner rather later.

October 16, 2012 - Pale yellow/gold. Nose of honey. Palate has lots of honey, a touch of sweetness, balanced bt plenty of acid. Citrus and tropical fruits abound. No noticeable petrol at this point. I think there is lots of life left in this; unfortunately my last bottle.

September 20, 2012 - Light to med. golden. Metallic nose with moderate fruit, foliage, peach. Very rich and racy attack, citrus palate profile with tangerine, red grapefruit. Very good acidity. Moderate length, fruity finish. Concentrated, but not too complex, rather mineral, a little spicy. It's opening up alowly, needs more time, but quite balanced now.
