January 1, 2024 - Opened on New Year’s Eve. Beautiful pale pink color with salmon hints. Nose of fresh cut berry, alpine flowers, apple, ginger, and stone. Layers strawberry, crushed raspberry, and citrus countering austere structure on the crystalline palate. Energizing, brisk fizz. Longer finish of aristocratic red fruit, a bit of lime, and rinsed stone. A delight. From a 375.

July 11, 2023 - This was way more powerful than my memory of the last bottle. I think its probably the combination of the fruit receding in the face of high acidity. It was so succulent and powerful that you would have a hard time pegging this for a rose' if it was served to you blind. A fresh expression of champagne with perfect bottle age on it. This is ready to go, but can go for a while yet...Drink or Hold

July 3, 2023 - Great wine but on decline to my palate. Will drink my '15s soon-ish.

April 28, 2023 - It’s not Cristal, but man is it better than the 2014 of the same wine, which has taken things in too austere a directiion. This is tight and linear but such good substance, some weight on the palate. Macerated strawberries with ample freshness. The biodynamics do show through, with clarity of fruit, cleanliness, and persistence. It’s a lovely wine that should age well for the next five years at least.

December 24, 2022 - I depress myself. There could be many reasons advanced but one of them is that try as I may, I just don't get much stiffy from Champagne. Objectively, I can appreciate it but there is no emotional engagement.

This is good stuff. I think it has positive development ahead over the next decade. It is vibrant, intense, with a long finish and some complexity. If that doesn't sell it, I don't know what will.

If you like Champagne, I think you will love this. I see it as great value and there is a nice mix of complexity and passion. Sadly, for me, for whatever reason there is just no zing. it is not about the maker it is just something idiosyncratic that extends to all sparkling wine. Not Calvinist enough?
