May 6, 2015 - For those who like crisp and crystalline whites, this is absolute textbook, and a wonderful way to get introduced to serious Grüner Veltliner at entry-level pricing. Raised in stainless steel and bottled at night when the wine is cold, to preserve freshness, Freiheit shows a subtle pineapple and citrus peel notes as well as floral components with a clean mineral finish.

August 9, 2014 - Some value wines from Austria; 8/9/2014-8/10/2014 (WRW): I really liked this, but it is still very primary. Nothing wrong with that at $23 Ohio, its a nice refreshing Riesling with plenty of potential to develop. Mineral driven with some lime notes. Nice and clean on the palate.
